        What are Discord Moderators?

Discord Moderators are members of the moderation team at BlueStar Games and they’re designed to patrol the communication server and look out for rule breakers. Our moderators have a high priority to keep and maintain high levels of professionalism, safety and assistance for our community. You shouldn’t hesitate to ask questions if you are unsure about something, or if you just need some further acknowledgements, moderators are here to help you and are always open for questions! Some examples will be listed below on how to be a good moderator.

        • Always have a smile, and show respect and gratitude towards the user needing assistance.
        • Allow the user to completely state their Issue or concern, you want to get the full understanding of what is completely going on.
        • Do not pick sides, remaining neutral is extremely important, and don’t be biased.
        • Understand who you’re communicating with.
        • Be efficient, professional and maintain grammar and mechanics.
        • Aim for proficiency, diligence and resilience, times can be challenging but the more effort is placed into the work, the easier the outcome will be produced.
        • Most importantly, try your hardest, never give up and aim for what you can.

        Additional Responsibilities as a Moderator:

        • Giving chances are fine, you are eligible to give chances if the violator has learned their lesson and punishment.
        • You, as a moderator are not above the rules. You are to follow the rules as everyone else, disobeying the rules could result in consequences or possibly an immediate suspension or termination from the moderation team.
        • It is best that you can keep your DMs (Direct Messages) open so people that are in-need of questions are able to send you them, however. If you do need to close your DMs, you can put in your “Discord” status saying “My DMs are closed, or off”
        • Please remember, as stated in the FAQ. Two warnings is an automatic mute, then if the user continues to violate our rules. You are to give them one kick, if they rejoin and continue. You may proceed to ban the user, make sure to grab their user “ID” and put the reason.
        • Appealing mutes are not allowed, if you were muted mistakenly, contact a discord moderator and they will be able to assist you with further instructions.
        • Given the reasons above, make sure to follow the rules. Staff have the final say and abide by all guidelines, refusal may result in a removal from the server.
